Hans Wegner designed the Wishbone chair in 1949, taking his inspiration from antique Chinese armchairs. Yet despite its lengthy history it possesses a timeless, even contemporary appeal thanks to Wegner’s signature design ideals of organic functionality and craftsmanship. The wishbone “Y” provides comfortable back support together with the gently rounded top where your elbows are nicely supported. The wide, hand-woven paper cord seat has a curved edge to reduce pressure on the backs of the thighs.
