Setting Up A Home Office: Top Tips!

With many of us now finding ourselves working from home for the first time it is important to establish a work environment and create a space that is inviting and helps you to be your most productive self! With this in mind we have compiled our top three tips on #WFH which might provide you with some useful tricks and help you to achieve this..

NUMBER 1 - DE-CLUTTER
Whether you are working from your kitchen table or from the gorgeous new desk you've just purchased, ensure it is as clutter free as possible! Remove unnecessary items while you are working and include only the essentials - computer, phone and coaster (for those essential coffees and teas!!) If you're purchasing a desk to use now but are worried it won't have a function in the future - we suggest a sideboard/desk style or the Ottosen desk that doubles as a stylish dressing table!

NUMBER 2 - LIGHTING
Good lighting is the key to staying alert and productive throughout your working day - natural lighting is great to have but is not always possible, in this case we suggest introducing a combination of desk and floor lamps to your space. Desk lamps such as the AJ style lamp with adjustable head will help to create optimal lighting while floor lamps in the corner of a room introduces mood lighting and creates a calming atmosphere - we suggest the effortlessly cool Grasshopper style!

NUMBER 3 - SEATING
While the living room sofa or garden furniture seem like enticing places to perch for a days work, it could hinder your productivity and lead to a sore neck or back! We advise choosing a chair that you love to sit in and suits your height and the desk you're sitting at. The DSW style chair pictured here is both comfortable and supportive with its high back, while the Elbow style chair is equally as supportive due to its curved wooden back support and comfortable leather seat.
