The Eames lounge chair and ottoman are the most instantly recognisable designs of Charles and Ray Eames. Eames's vision for the chair was that it should have the “the receptive look of a well used first baseman’s mitt”. Charles's goal was that it be "a special refuge from the strains of modern living," so comfort was built into the pieces from the beginning.
Our version features individually upholstered cushions. The veneers are 7-ply. The hardware fastens the cushions to the frame without marring the appearance of the wood. The permanent tilt of the seat takes weight off your lower spine, so you feel relaxed. The frame comes in a walnut veneer and in a multitude of leathers.
This iconic piece is a true heirloom.
